River system of Shira region consists of Belyi Ius, Chernyui Ius, Son, Karush, Tuim and their feeders that stream down from eastern flanks of Kuznetsky Alatau hills. These rivers belong to a group of Mountain-Taiga Rivers. As a rule they have rapids, long stretches, gorges and valleys.
The greatest river that refers to the river Ob basin is Belyui Ius. It is a mountain river in its upper reaches and middle course. It’s wonderful at any time of a day and a year. The mountains which you will sail by are charming. The higher the mountains the harder emotions, those spectacular views will make you feel infinite freedom, power and desire for living.
Departure point: the camping site “Delor” in Shira village
Itinerary: Shira village – Efremkino village – toward Kommunar village 70 km by bus. Then transshipment to catamaran.
